PES Rankings Weekly Roundup - by Konami

This week, the biggest leaps up the Rankings table were made by McGuigan (303 places) and keepitmencap (245 places). Starting at the middle to lower end of the table, huge gains like this can easily be made by playing well, especially if you can beat a higher ranked player.

The PESFan Championships events, on PS3 and 360, are ongoing this month, but as fixtures are played and the results entered, they count towards the Rankings table too! A number of players have added to their Rankings score by playing in these qualifiers: Nicksanchez, Tealdinho, greatest-ever87, eggbert and iGod91.

Two official events were completed during this last week: Leeomac's 2v2 Win 100 PES Points on Monday last week, and the first of five Win Saw VI DVD events.

For the final 2v2 Win 100 Pes Points event, players teamed up with friends on the PESFan forum thread. This event was eventually by P.BASHAR and priest, who take away 100 Pes Points each. The event report can be found here.
With the Rankings points gained here and in a number of other tourneys this week, priest makes his way into the top 50, placing at position 49. Georgethegman also climbed the rankings table by 27 points, after reaching the semi-finals with team-mate aykss123.

The first in the series of Win Saw VI DVD events was held yesterday. There are five events in total, all with a Saw VI DVD as first prize. Saw VI is due for release on 09/03/2010 but can be pre-ordered from play.com now.
Shotzsn went on to win the event after taking out the opposition, gaining himself a copy of the Saw VI DVD and 22 places on the Rankings table for his efforts!

Shotzsn is also the Player of the Week, and picks up 250 PES Points - well done!

Coming this week, we have the second of the Saw VI events, run by Leeomac.
The rest in the series follow the week after, along with the next Glasgow Play.com event, on the 21st Feb.
