PES Rankings FAQ
What is PES Rankings?
PES Rankings is the official organised play system for PES in U.K, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, the main aim of PES Rankings is to find the best all-round player whilst providing an easy to use regional rankings system for everyone to take part in.
I live outside UK can I still take part in PES Rankings?
Currently PES Rankings is only open to users from U.K, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, if you live outside of these countries you are not eligible to take part in the rankings system. Please contact your local Konami office for there details of your local organised play system.
How much does PES Rankings cost me to use?
PES Rankings is free to use for all users of the site and most events are free to enter although it is at each tournament admins discretion to charge an entry fee for their events, however this usually only applies to offline events to cover their costs for the venue, console hire and any prizes.
How do I enter into an online event?
Once you have registered and activated your account, use the current events link on the left hand side of each page to see a list of all events which are available for people to enter. Find an event you would like to play in and click the join event button, after you have entered the event can be found easily though the “My Events” link. Once the fixtures have been generated, the fixtures are played the same as any normal online match. The exact method of playing games online varies by platform as detailed below:
If a player has not included their gamer tag or an admin hasn’t stipulated a server/lobby then you can contact them via the in site messaging system.
Once the Fixtures have been played the results need to be manually entered into the site, the results entry form can be accessed by going to the “My Events” page and then click on the event that you want to but results in for, then click on the fixture list and enter the results, once one player has entered a result it will need to be confirmed by their opponent.
The event I want to enter has a password, where can I get it from?
Private events will have a password so that only certain people will be able to enter them, this will normally be so that a specific group of people can play in their own event, the event notes may contain a link to a forum such as PESFan where you can sign up for the event.
Why do the results have to be entered into the site manually?
Because the site covers multiple formats the results will need to be entered in manually as we don’t have access to the severs for automatic updates of results to the site.
I have encountered a problem whilst playing my opponent, what should I do?
Firstly you should contact your opponent to try and resolve the issue between yourselves, if that fails contact the admin of the event to try and work out a solution, as a last resort open a support ticket though the “Support” link on the main menu.
How can I ensure that I am playing the right person?
Once you know who you are playing check there gamer tags in the profile, if there are not any listed message the user though the on site system to confirm their gamer tags so that you can play them.
I’ve registered on your site, why can’t I log in to play online with my console?
Registering on this site to be part of the rankings or registering on the console to allow you to play on online will not automatically register you for the other system, as this site is completely separate from the online play systems unique to each console.
I’ve played in a few events and know how the system works, how do I start my own events?
In the events section on the left hand side of the page there is a create events link, simply follow though the options, making sure that all fields are filled in, especially the event notes section and that the end date is set far enough into the future such that the event has time to be completed.
What can I do if players in my event are not playing their fixtures?
If players are not entering results for there matches the first step is to message them to find out if there is a reason for them not playing their fixtures, if they fail to respond within a reasonable time or with a reasonable reason the next step is to kick that player from the event, this should cause all of their unplayed fixtures to be voided and the score to be recorded as 3-0 to their opponents.
What can I do if I have a question that is not covered in this FAQ?
If you have a question which we have not covered in this FAQ please feel free to open a support request by clicking the support link under the main menu and then entering the question or details of the support that you require. We endeavour to answer all requests by the end of the next working day. Alternatively if you require assistance during office hours there is normally at least one member of staff on the chat system who is able to answer your questions.
